Ingredients and spices that need to be Take to make Hoisin & Chilli Pork:
- To make the pork:
- 230 g pork mince,
- 1/3 rd red bell pepper, chopped finely,
- 1 tbsp shaoxing wine,
- 2 heaped tsp hoisin sauce,
- 1 heaped tsp crunchy chilli & garlic oil (mostly sediment),
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce,
- 1/2 tsp garlic paste,
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil,
- To garnish:
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce,
- Sesame seeds,
- Sliced spring onion, whites & greens seperated,
- Red chilli flakes
- To serve:
- White rice,
- 1 fried egg
Instructions to make to make Hoisin & Chilli Pork
- Heat up a wok over a high heat and add in the pork mince into the dry wok. Some fat will come out of the pork as it fries, so there is no need to add oil at this point. Fry for two minutes then add in the red pepper. Stir and fry for a further 2 minutes.
- Add in the crunchy garlic chilli oil, the garlic paste, hoisin sauce the dark soy sauce. Stir through the pork and continue to fry for a further minute until the pork is a lovely deep brown and coated in a sticky sauce.
- Next add in the shaoxing wine and stir through, cook it off for a minute then remove the pork from the heat. Add in the sesame oil and toss through.
- Add the whites of the spring onions in with the sticky pork and stir through. Serve it up over white rice, top with a fried egg and pour over the light soy on top of the egg. Garnish with sesame seeds and red chilli flakes. Place the greens of the spring onions to one side. Enjoy!
