- 250 g or one pack of lamp stew meat cut in cube
- 2 medium size potatoes, cut into bite size cubes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 onion, thin sliced
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
- 1 tbsp finely sliced garlic
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 2-3 cloves
- 3-4 bay leaves
- 4 - cardamon pod
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 whole red chilli
- 1/2 tin tomatoes
- 1/4 lemon
- Some fresh coriander or garnish

- Heat vegetable cooking oil in the medium heat pan, add onion and fry until brown.
- Add dry spices in start from garam masala, ginger, garlic, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and stir well for a couple minutes. Add bay leaves, whole chilli and mix well.
- Add lamb and let them sauté for about 5-8 minutes until the outside of meat brown.
- Add potatoes, tin of tomato, half of yogurt and stir well, lower the heat, put cover on and let it simmer for about 30-45 mins or even an hour if the meat still tuff.
- Once meat cooked and tender, add the rest of yogurt and mix well, squeezed a little bit of lemon juice in and mix before turn heat off. Garnish with coriander if prefer. Serve with rice and naan bread.
